About Us.
We are the official music club of MIT! We actively strive to perform in various music-related events that happen at intra and inter-college levels as the band Sweetlime. We also conduct our own events like The Vibez Fundraiser, music lounge, outdoor jam and our own Battle of Bands event notably.
Vibez consists of students across all years, whether they are a trained musician, budding instrumentalist, enthusiastic vocalist, curious beginner or someone who just can't live without their playlists. This club is a space where passion meets expression- a place where we celebrate sound in all its forms, from Indian classical ragas to Western rock, from film soundtracks to indie originals. Our club is not about just performing music though-we jam, sing, compose, learn, bond, teach each other and vibe together-no judgment, just rhythm and connection.

Mitafest 23'
As is tradition, Vibez performed an energetic and specially curated set of songs for the opening of Mitafest 23' as a part of the host performances and went with the theme of Red.
Mitafest 24'
Following 23', with a legacy to keep up, Vibez came up with yet another bangar setlist for the opening and host perfomrance of Mitafest 24' and also decided on the evident theme Blue!
The Vibez Fundraiser 24'
The Vibez Fundraiser is our annual flagship event, which had its first edition back during the height of COVID. Noted musicians and artists like Pradeep Kumar and Sreekanth Hariharan supported our cause by performing online. The funds, in its entirety were used to provide help to a isolated tribal village which had alot of containment zones.
Takshashila 24'
Vibez participated in the Battle of Bands event of Chennai Institute of Technology's cultural fest Takshashila 24'.
Surang 25'
Vibez was honoured with an invite to give a special guest performance at Department of Mining, CEG's annual symposium Surang 25'. We performed our most energetic setlist yet and had alot of fun at stage, improv-ing and vibing on the go!

Where the winds catch the vibez
Jam sessions, true to the name, that have people grooving to catchy tunes and trending songs that we perform inside our college’s outdoor spaces such as the wifi huts and student connect points.
